Pre-Christmas and Christmas eve

Santa Joseph
Daddy reads us Leo Buscaglia's Christmas book...There are 7 short (ish) stories.
Adalyn by the Christmas tree

I helped with Zach's gingerbread day.
He tried to put as much candy on as he

He and Rosie Trejo were in a competition at who could put the most candy on their houses.

decorating a train
I read a narration.  This was my station

We had a white elephant gift exchange.  Rob opened socks with Grandma's face on them.  Someone stole them right after!  Grandma passed away a week or so later.  We are glad we were able to see her one last time.
I got this as my white elephant. uh-oh, not a Ute thing!
These are the cookies I brought for the cookie exchange.  They looked so cool!  Next time I will bring them on a cookie sheet and plate them there.
A fun game from Calais.
Santa came to Grandma & Grandpa Stephenson's house.  He had a nice and naughty list with warning checks.  Emma was really worried that dad was on the naughty list. (and Rob and I had been arguing the car ride over, so it must be true!)
We were so surprised shy Adalyn hugged Santa!
You're never too old for Santa!
Just missing Christopher in this picture!
Adalyn liked the sucker Santa brought

Santa is here!
My friend who is fighting cancer is in book club and brought all of us an ornament with little copies of the books we read that year.  I will always remember Cindy Bingham when I see this!

We went to a live nativity (you had to know people involved to go to it).  The angel was on a roof of a house.  It was soo cool!
The kids wanted to watch the pottery for a while

Zach tried starting a fire
Makayla and Emma wearing head coverings...waiting for it to start.
Rob, Matthew, and Adalyn dressed up

Christmas Eve was so cool this year.  We went to church in the morning, watched it's a wonderful life after hot chocolate, had santa pizza, acted out the nativity.  Then the kids opened one gift from a sibling.  Then they played with them together!  It was so sweet.  They were excited about what they gave to each other.  Makayla gave a little light she made at school to Zach.  Then Makayla and Emma colored together.
Michael gave Adalyn this painting activity, so he helped her.
Michael gave Makayla the coloring activity book and played a game with her in it.
The nativity!  An angel, narrator, and shepards.
Michael is so helpful with Adalyn

Adalyn fell asleep during the singing at church...It was only noon!  One of the songs we were singing in the choir was supposed to have "bombs" in it (really just loud bass chords). Our pianist didn't want to play them very loud, so I sent her this pic that Rob took and told her Adalyn even slept through the bombs lol.
Cute sisters in their Christmas dresses.  Classic Snowman head in the picture.

So excited about their candy canes.
