Loftus Thanksgiving Reunion

My sister Danielle and I took the twins, and her 3 older kids (and we picked up Makayla from Kindergarten) to see Michael's class play.  (Matthew didn't make it in the picture.

Michael is in the middle of the group.
Here he is.

I bought some art projects for the kids at the dollar store, incase the weather was bad & we'd be stuck inside all day.  Well, the weather was wonderful, so we did them at night.
Decorating Christmas trees with stickers.
We went to the Children's museum at Thanksgiving Point with all our cousins.  (Thanks to Rob's parent's who had Grandparent's passes so they got all the kids in for free, plus me and one other adult.)
Matthew, that is a tall lego tower.
Water station is a big hit, but we are always smart to go there last because everyone gets wet.  Traffic was horrible getting onto the freeway afterwards.
Classic. Uncle Rob telling a story to all the kids.  And Calais and Spencer.

Cousins playing the piano together.
The weather was so nice we played flag football.
In our backyard.
Joshua is one week younger than Zachary.

Too bad this one is blurry.  They are both pointing to Joshua's basketball on his shirt.
Rob gave kids rides on the lawn mower.
He tried getting the go-cart working, but no luck.  It's just play ground equipment. Another activity that was not pictured was going to the Provo Rec Center to go swimming.  Joseph loved the water slides!  He would go all by himself, no life jacket allowed!
I forgot to get pics of our thanksgiving meal, but here are the pies!  Pumpkin, pecan, apple, strawberry, turtle, and chocolate.
Hiking the Payson grotto.  It was a little chilly and very muddy.  I prefer it in early October.

Whoa
Nice catch Calais!
the boys found a teeter-totter and called it a teeter-saw.  Haha.  Not quite a see-saw.

Group picture anyone?
It was the end of the hike.  We made it back to the cars!

We had a quote wall, which was soo fun!  Most of them were in my handwritting, but I think everyone enjoyed the funny memories.

Earning some free football tickets

Why is Rob wearing a holey BYU shirt at the grocery store?
They were doing a tailgate party at our Macey's location (way less busy than Provo's location).  They asked for a volunteer to open a frozen shirt.

Well these were sooo frozen.  When you do this, you are supposed to freeze the shirt for 20 minutes so they can open it and get it on w/in 3 minutes.  Well, they froze the shirts for 24 hours, so they were hard as a rock.  The store brought water to help melt them, the contestants were throwing the shirts at the ground, prying it with their hands, etc all while the announcer was telling everyone on the radio what was going on.

The kids were super excited to watch Rob win!  He won 2 free tickets to the BYU football game.  He let Christopher and Michael have them. (since Matthew and I were already going.)

It was chilly in the shade.
Rob started a tradition that we would share a cougar tail with each of the kids at one game (basketball or football.)  When Matthew and I went to get our donut, he was grumpy.  Then we saw someone with a cougartail and he was excited that he got one!  Here he is so excited with his donut.

Beginning of November

We had to document that the twins cleaned their room and made their beds!  (Their room is a mess these days.)
Fun with playdough.  I think they made a catepillar?
School pics upside down.  I forgot it was school picture day, so Michael wasn't dressed up.
Michael did a cupcake making after school 4-H club.  It's only $5 for 6 classes.  He liked eating the cupcakes & this is the only one I ever saw.
Rob laying carpet in the guest bedroom.  knee-kicker carpet stretching.  He completely finished the guest bedroom & Christopher's bedroom.  They were just studded when we moved in.

I think I have a pic of all the kids wearing these pjs from my great grandma gladys.
Christopher's new bedroom. He loves having his own space.
The guest bedroom ready for guests just in time to host the Loftus Thanksgiving Reunion.
Makayla wanted a picture at walmart in the princess carriage.
Zachary loves BYU and is wearing a "#1 fan finger"
Makayla went with me to Young Women in Excellence.
I made dinner for Rob's mom's bday (they got back from a trip that day.  I made General Tso's Chicken & when I was adding some red pepper flakes, the lid fell off & the whole bottle went in.  I scooped out as much as I could.  It was spicy, but not unbearably so.  She liked it.
Twins and their neighbor friend Parker.
Zachary found a basketball at the neighbor's house.

Makayla's play dough creation.
Don't eat it Joseph!
Matthew's creation
"cheese"
The toys found a new location, no longer under the TV.  Now we have a nice little TV area.
Here's where the toys went.  This dresser desk is from Rob's grandma stephenson's house, when she moved out to Utah from California.
