There are 5 baby hamsters in there. The twins call them baby hammers. The boys got a boy hamster and a girl hamster and have separate cages for them. They put them together on purpose (and with Rob's help) for a little bit and waited to see if the girl was pregnant.
You can see them a little better. This is the day they were born.
Here is the mom hamster a few weeks after they are born.
The mom's cage. The hamster's names are little amigo and little amiga (Michael named them), but really we just call them "the mom hamster" and "the dad hamster".
There were 2 that were the same color as the mom.

The light gray one was the runt and sadly ended up squished in the cage between the house and the wall and died. The boys were excited to sell the hamsters for $10 each on KSL. The 2 dark hamsters sold for that price, but after a while, we lowered the price on the light colored ones to $5 each, and sold them.
