Bros

Michael thought he was so clever being in Christopher's bed. Christopher wasn't ready to wake up.
Building while I was doing dishes.

Christopher likes dominoes & Michael likes the ads. (Keep those dominoes away from Michael!)

Look how tall my boys are.

Don't worry, Christopher doesn't have to duck his head, they aren't that tall.

Blue and Gold Banquet cakes

This is my first ever attempt at cake decorating. 100 years of Boy Scouts of America. It was fun to make! Obviously the chocolate frosting wasn't thick enough...it ran down the sides.
Christopher wanted me to make a race car cake. So when I saw race car cakes at the banquet (aka bday party) I had to take pictures.

More race cars.

My friend Melissa (in a different ward/stake/BSA unit) made this with one of her friends. I knew Kathy V. had to see it, so I decided to post it on my blog. Isn't it amazing!!! More cakes from their banquet: http://thomasandmelissagriffiths.blogspot.com/2010/02/blue-and-gold-banquet-and-cake-contest.html. (I hope you don't mind Melissa)

This cake was not from a banquet. It was from my Grandparent's homecoming from their mission. One of my uncles had a hook-up, and it turned out great! It's the Portland temple, w/o the spires. Wow...what you can do with fondant! This picture I stole from my aunt Brittany's blog. (I hope you don't mind Brittany.)

Inspiration

My mother-in-law made these cakes for her mom's 80th birthday party.

She inspired me to ask her (when prompted by her) for some round cake pans and simple cake decorating tools for my birthday.

Don't get mad, get a camera

This cutie has strep.
Warning: some pictures on this post are gross and not for the faint of stomach, or easy gaggers. Michael must have had a very full stomach when I gave him his antibiotics because 1/2 way through he threw everything up.
Exhibit A:

Somehow he missed the sink... (and yes, it smelled like strawberry milk.)
Exhibit B:
I called Rob from downstairs: "I need your help!"
"oh whoa. what do you want me to do? the race is starting."
"nevermind, I just wanted you to see..."
(well, it was the race that apollo ono was dsq in...crazy finish...apparently....i didn't get to see it...)
Very tired baby, very cuddly. He has been his normal cheerful self.

Michael at 7ish months

I forgot to post this cutie's 6 month stats...something like 19 lbs & 25"? The weight of Christopher at a year anyways.
Around 6 months he regularly took 2 naps a day and ate twice at night. Until he got sick. His schedule was out of wack and now is sleeping 12hrs (waking up twice to eat) at night, but only one nap per day???!!! I hope this is only for this week.

He didn't like solids at all while he was sick. Now he likes anything except green veggies. Guess what my freezer is full of...green baby food. He loves cheerios and pieces of roll/tortilla/etc.

He loves sitting up, hates lying on his back (won't roll from back to stomach.), tolerates being on his stomach. If I'm lucky, and only sit him up, this will delay crawling, right?

For Daddy

Rob, the front of the heart says, "On the third day of Valentines my true love gave to me..." The back says, "a note from the kids to brighten your day."

My boys and their tent

Grandma and Grandpa Stephenson gave Christopher a tent with a tunnel for Christmas. Christopher is being silly with the tunnel.
Michael loves sitting in the tent (maybe it's the different textures?) He also loves when Christopher crawls through the tunnel and says "boo." Michael jumps/ shakes with excitement.

Brothers looking through the tunnel.

This picture is the wrong direction...It would be a feat to try and get them to do this in real life ;)

We call this game "bunkbeds." Michael is laughing and trying to "get" or tickle Christopher, as daddy is sleeping.
