Brian & Kelsi's Wedding

We went up to Boise for Brian (Rob's brother) and Kelsi's wedding in August. We were lucky to have family 5 minutes away from the reception site, so we stayed with my Aunt & Uncle & their kids. Christopher & Michael loved playing with them.

They are very outdoorsy people. (I'm surprised Brian isn't wearing a flannel vest & tie.) So they had a fire pit to roast marshmallows & make smores at their reception, in Kelsi's parents backyard.

Better....the question is, do we frame it? (because of all the shadows). The weird thing at the wedding is all of the Stephenson side cameras stopped working. Ours was the only one that wasn't a Kodak & it worked, but then our SD card said it was compromised & wouldn't work. Rob was able to download the pictures to his computer, then wipe the SD card, so now it works. Which is why it took a month to get these pictures up.

First Day of School

This is Christopher on the first day of kindergarten. He was soo excited to go! We walk to school together (a little more than 1/2 mile). He likes me to meet him across the street so he can cross with the crossing guard and all the other kids. 2 weeks later he still loves it. I asked him what his favorite part about it was. He said "I love everthing!"

I was really impressed. There were only 3 kids in his class, so he got lots of attention. These pictures are from the last day of class. You can see Christopher swimming on the right.

Christopher is on the left. What was entertaining, besides watching Christopher swim, was the 3 year-old class. It started out with 3 boys (2 were twins.) The twins cried the whole time the first few days. Then they moved one of the twins to the 4 yr old class. He did great. The other one still cried. Then their teacher read a book about swimming. This helped the other twin. But then the boy that wasn't a twin started crying every day. Until the last day. No crying. Their poor teacher!

Closest to his teacher. The only thing Christopher had trouble doing was floating on his back. For that reason, I don't think he should go on to the next level. We'll see if he figures it out before next summer.

The class younger than them always played this game, so on the last day when the kids asked if they could play, their teacher said yes.

Rob's eye

Rob was having a mudball fight at Utah Lake with his scouts. He got a handful of mud straight in his eye, while it was open. He spent all night (and all my contact solution) rinsing his eye out. He said it hurt alot but he wouldn't go to the dr. Apparently it was more red the next morning (and swollen shut), but we didn't get a picture. It is healing, but still red.

Cambrai's mission call!

Cambrai had her mission call mailed to our house because she didn't know when it would come and where she's be living. We were chatting in my living room waiting for the mail to come, thinking, man, the mail is late today. Cambrai went outside to check- and it was already there! She is going to Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo East Mission, Spanish speaking. She will spend 3 weeks in the Provo MTC, then 6 in the Dominican Republic MTC. She reports to the Provo MTC November 17th, which is great because not only is it my sister Danielle's birthday, but because Danielle's baby is due October 30th, so Cambrai will get to see the baby when she comes back to Provo!

2 Buck Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point

We went to Thanksgiving Point for 2 buck Tuesday. We went to the gardens with my family that was visiting.
