Christopher's Baptism (and Easter) all happened on his 8th Birthday!

Christopher was so excited that his Dad baptized him ON his 8th birthday
 awww...w/Mommy & Daddy

Our whole family

Christopher was excited for his friend Jordan (who does not attend our church) to come to his baptism.  We only do friend birthday parties every other year, and this was an off year, but we wanted to make it special so we invited Jordan and his family to the baptism and to our house for pizza, cake & ice cream after.
All the family that attended minus Rob's brother Daniel & his wife & baby-they arrived after the picture.  I LOVE that my grandparents are on a mission in Utah so they get to come to all the important family events.  It was really fun to have my family there, visiting from Oregon.  Christopher asked my dad & sister, Calais (who is coming out to BYU next year!!) to give talks & they both did an amazing job.  Christopher asked my mom and brother, Taylor to give prayers & those were pretty good too ;)

Michael looking for Easter eggs.  This is the first year we did an Easter egg hunt outside.  It was beautiful.

 Christopher looking for eggs.

This is sort of Eastery.  Michael and I made carrots in the shape of rectangles, triangles, circles, squares, etc and fed them to our velveteen rabbit to practice shapes.  Another great idea from littlefamilyfun.com :)

Cambrai's wedding

Cambrai and Ammon were married March 23rd in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, only 20 minutes from our house.
Besides his love for Cambrai, Ammon brings his delicious hobby of culinary talent to the family.

aka, he makes awesome desserts.  At our most recent family dinner, he made the yummiest Danishes I've ever had.
 Good job Cambrai! ;)
Admiring the flowers & her photographer (Jen Preece- Quatama peeps) in the background.
oh, yes, it snowed that morning & was freezing!
 beautiful dress!
craziness of family pictures at the temple.

 My parents w/Cambrai & Ammon

 Maybe we should stand closer?
its warmer that way ;)  The pics I took at the temple were taken from Rob's phone because I forgot our camera at home :/
The Loftus tradition- Costco cheese cake.

Decorating was so fast and easy (meaning we didn't stay up all hours...it only took one easy day...aka...not rushed.)
 Both sets of parents
At the reception... (which was at my church building.  I was incharge of scheduling the building and borrowing table clothes.  Rob's job was to take the kids home when they were being disruptive.  He did great!  I was able to have lots of fun serving at the reception.  I was even complemented on my smile. And I saw lots of people from Oregon that had moved to Utah.  That was lots of fun!
Cutting the cake.  & feeding each other at the same time.  cute!
 First dance.
tunnel leading out to their car.  (see rob on the left holding michael & my brother Taylor holding Makayla)

They insisted on leaving in their wedding clothes, which I thought was crazy, but it was funny seeing Cambrai try & fit in the car.
And that funny face- that's because Ammon's brother (who we figured out is only 2 days older than me) put glitter in the fans, so when they turned on the heater it blew all over them.

Pinewood derby!

Now that Christopher is 8, we've entered the world of cub scouts.  His first activity was the pinewood derby.
They let him carry the American flag in the flag ceremony.
His car.  He got the 'most fully loaded car' award because his weights were Filipino coins.
 Flag ceremony
 welcome to the pack.
yes, our ward only has 9 cubs.  yes, that includes wolves, bears, and weblos. oh wait.  there are 10.  one came late.

He was happy he did well. i'd guess 4th or 5th.  they only told us who got 1st, 2nd & 3rd.  its the last year those 3 will race, so we will see how next year goes ;)
Michael needed the camera to keep himself occupied.
Nice yawn, Taylor.  (my family was in town for their spring break.)

Setting the car up to race.

Loftus cousins

My sister Danielle and her family came to visit for their spring break and Cambrai's wedding (pictures to come at a later date)  Makayla and Brooklyn in the tub.  They are 10 weeks apart.
Here are they boy cousins.  Michael, Ben, and Christopher (jumping off the table...such a boy thing to do)
Girl cousins.  Brooklyn (8 months), Cielo (9 months), Makayla (10 & 1/2 months)
Its so hard to get a pic of them together and looking...they just want to look at each other or gouge each other's eyes out.
awww...remember when we took pics when they were tiny babies?!  now they are all standing!

I think each girl looks like their mama
 All the kids together.
best we could do. oh well.  here's all 6 of the Loftus grandkids.
the boys again.  Christopher's friend gave him this couch bed & they had fun playing on it.
 cheese
This is a funny story.  my sister Danielle (how did we not get a before & after pic?!) donated her hair while she was here and my brother saw it lying on the ledge, waiting to be mailed in.  I saw him do this w/a funny smirk, so i made him wait for me to get the camera & take a picture of 'his mullet.'  haha!
