We went to story time at the library. Usually Matthew and Joseph want to sit on my lap the whole 20 minutes which makes my legs fall asleep. This time there were so few people that we sat near the front, so Matthew and Joseph felt comfortable "sitting on the story time blanket" for the story and puppet show. (this is in quotes cuz they weren't actually sitting on the blanket, but they weren't next to me, which was a first for them!) They haven't done it since, but it usually is really crowded (the whole carpeted area full of kids, and I'm sitting 2 rows behind the stairs.) Matthew is in the blue striped shirt, Joseph in orange/red. Makayla gets to go to a storytime in a special room for 3-5 yr olds.

Makayla is so strong! I don't think her method of baby wearing is safe ;) Christopher and Michael brought in a load of firewood, but then there was a burn band for 2 weeks, so it just sat there. The kids only tried moving them around a few times ;) Keeping a fire going was a good project for Rob when he couldn't do anything else...that and read with Michael. Michael went up 6 reading levels (the amount he should through out the whole school year) in the 2 weeks he read with Rob over Christmas break.
Rob's parents came into town for Rob's step grandfather's funeral. It was a busy day with Grandpa Bud's funeral for his mom's side of the family, and a wedding for Rob's cousin on his dad's side. Rob's mom cut my hair while Rob and his dad went to a late BYU basketball game. This was all of my hair!
Here's the finished product. It curled in crazy spots, so it was a little hard to teach it how to behave. But I have loved having it short & have only pulled it back (1/2 way) once.

We got a new couch, so we moved the old one out of the way until it could be removed from the room. It became a fun fort. Matthew is at the doorway.
And makayla is on top. Luckily they never used my curtains (that I worked so hard to make 7 years ago!) as a rope swing.
Makayla decided she wanted braids in her hair.

She let me play with it for a while, trying a few different types of braids. I loved it!
23 & 1/2 week baby bump. And this is the first time my hair would straighten instead of curl all over the place.

Joseph is pretending to fall off the couch, but he's just being mischievous. He was on the top couch cushion pulling off CDs from the 2nd shelf. After this picture I had it up to here with their messes. I emptied off the shelf & told Rob to put it in our room. This would be a reading corner with much fewer books and maybe a kids seat. No more big messes.
