Halloween 2016

Here we are watching the parade at the kid's school. I was a little nervous w/o the stroller, but it worked out.  My friend Michelle took our picture for us.
Joseph, Matthew and Makayla

Makayla giving Christopher a high five.
Barely got a picture of Michael.
I had a hard time getting a cute 'twin halloween picture, partially because the back of Joseph's is the cute part.

There.  Got the shot I was hoping for....though maybe if I had gotten on their level, it would have been more perfect.  I wanted them to be matchy/coordinating and we went back and forth between Batman/Superman or Thomas the train/Sir Topham Hat.  They were both excited about this, whereas I was having a hard time convincing one of them to be Sir Topham Hat.

Trick or treating at the Harris'

Happy twins
Happy baby tiger
There's a little more of a smile.
Enjoying their spoils.  I brought the 3 younger kids home while the older ones continued with Rob.
Saying cheese while showing me their candy.  I looked on facebook to verify a story I'm trying to remember....instead of the story, this picture's caption says they are saying "match" as they eat the same kind of candy.  The story I'm trying to remember is that there was a piece of candy kind of in between their piles and one of them (I think Matthew) pushed it closer to Joseph and said "Joseph's candy."  So cute and honest.

The Blue & White Game

We were quite the sight at the Blue and White game (basketball team plays itself).  Rob and I thought we could keep track of the kids better by sitting above them.  Everyone is sitting in age order, plus we have 2 friends.  We drove 2 cars so we could bring them.
Can you see all 8 kids there?
How about now?

Yes, it was a little nerve racking to keep track of the group walking in & out.  They were fine once seated.
Not too far ahead boys!
Zachary!  Look at the camera for a picture at your first BYU basketball game!
No, not at the court.
Close enough

Carving pumpkins

Carving pumpkins with Daddy is always a fun Halloween tradition.  We always make a BYU one and a "scary" one.  Michael was really looking forward to it, but didn't participate as much as the other kids.  You can see how excited Matthew is by his smile.  Makayla feels privileged to hold a pumpkin. And Christopher didn't want to be in the picture.
"Who?" Matthew asks. He always has his shoes on.  Nice action shot, Rob.

Can I be batman too, Mom?!  Happy Zachary.

The end of October

I love so many things about it.  Matthew's smile.  Makayla's outfit and goggles.  Matching twins.
I loved this exchange even more!  Cute twins!  Was he saying "Smile Jo!"

I love this baby face!  It's like all our babies, yet his own too.
Arm tucked for rolling.
All.most.there.
Smiley baby!  Too bad its blurry.
Soo much excitement to keep still.  Even though its blurry, I can hear the squealing.

Crazy hair day Michael. This is a classic at our house.
Christopher's crazy hair day and Joseph's photobomb.
Joseph is doing a magic trick with a pom-pom on the cup.
Cute smiling twins!
Makayla loves the swing at our house.

Matthew loves the swing at our house.

Joseph loves playing with the car.
Classic fall picture...flannel and leaves.
Michael's award assembly.

Joseph on his train bed while wearing his train jammies.

Fall break

Yes, that is Christopher and Rob on our roof.  Rob realized we needed a new roof on our house if we were going to sell it, so on the last nice weekend in October, Rob reroofed our house. (Don't worry, he has lots of roofing experience. He worked as a roofer to pay for his mission.  That experience made him realize he actually wanted to go to college and not be a roofer for the rest of his life.)
Christopher was a big help!  Rob loved working with him!
During naptime one of the days Makayla and Zachary and I went wedding dress shopping with Calais.  (This wasn't the dress that she chose, but I had to document the occasion.)
Makayla dressed up for the occasion.  I like how you can see me and Zachary in the mirror.
Makayla wanted pictures everywhere.

Even holding Zachary.

I.WAS.NOT.THINKING and didn't bring a stroller or wrap to wear Zachary to the mall to wedding dress shop.  IN FACT, I carried the heavy baby and carseat a while, then brought the car seat back to the car.  And used my scarf to make a sling.  It sort of worked.

BYU football date with Rob

Rob and I went to a BYU football game together.  Rob's mom babysat, so we were able to enjoy the game and late night together. (Rob took this selfie.)
(I took this one.  Rob is much better at taking selfies.  Also, mine was before the game, his was after, when everyone was storming the field.
The field!
