We woke up early to be at the hot air balloons at 6:30am. Before that we staked our spot for the parade. When we came back from the hot air balloons we found that we weren't the front row anymore. There was a pre-parade at 8am & it was great- bmx bike tricks were so cool we had to follow them down the parade route and watch 3 times!

Rob's brother Daniel came and found us along the parade route & he told us their Uncle Jim (who owns a gym- I think that is soo funny!) was there & we found him, having just run the 10k. If we were in our seats along the route instead of seeing the hot air balloons, we could have cheered for him.

Michael was soo excited for the motorcycles!

So we had to take a few pictures.

Provo High's marching band. There were 2 kids in our ward in it- the short trombone player & a girl in color guard. It was fun to see them.

Other ward members in the baby pagent.

Soo excited for....

The Star Wars guys.

I was excited like the kids, but then I got weirded out that it was just 'bad guys' and how awful it would be if this was real instead of pretend.

BYU's float. The byusa tee-shirts said 'More than just a free tee-shirt'

In our red, white and blue. This parade was like 2 hrs long (way too long!) but it was overcast for most of it. we left around 10:30 (we were at the beginning of the parade so we didn't miss too much) when the sun came out & it started getting HOT. There were so many people there, probably because it seemed like every HS & city w/in 45 mins had a marching band and beauty queens in it.

That night doing fire works. Michael was scared of the sparklers & then it started raining, so we were glad we only had 10 minutes worth of fire works. Because it was such a wet year, areal fireworks were legal. Some people down the street had some good ones going, but michael was just ready for bed. And Christopher got his cast off the next day! (he actually pulled it off himself at the drs office!)
