Babysitting Cielo

I watch my niece Cielo (Gabrielle's daughter) 12 hrs/week while she's finishing her second to last semester at BYU.  She is 5 weeks younger than Makayla and looks just like her mama!  Cielo is such a quiet easy baby.  Its not as hard as I thought it would be!
Odd...the both looked away from the toy at the same time...
Cielo not enjoying tummy time & Makayla looks concerned.
Aww...best buds...can't coax a smile though, they are both so curious about the camera

 Matching looks of awe.
They like to practice synchronized rolling.

Luckily the same direction...they don't bump into each other

Though sometimes they do end up in odd positions.  Sorry about the kick in the face Cielo.
Michael wanted to take a picture of all three of us, so we crowded together.
 My angle.
Christopher wanted to make funny faces while holding both babies.  He really was enjoying himself.  Though Makayla looks alittle worried in the first pictures.
 Napoleon Dynamite, anyone?
Michael had to get in on the cousin action!

Payson Grotto and football injuries

We went on this awesome hike- so perfect for boys!  I knew they would get a little wet & muddy, so I was prepared & didn't freak out when they did. It is up Payson canyon, about 45 mins from our house.  The total hike was just over 1/2 mile.  It was steep at the beginning, but leveled out and was so beautiful!  We want to do it again in the spring.  The only problem was I didn't dress Makayla warm enough.   Her feet started turning blue & I wasn't sure if it was because she was cold or she wasn't in the front pack the right way (her first time facing forward & i never had the boys facing forward)
 Sandals were a must!
 cold water
 Rob climbed above it
Fun boards to walk across, but not so wobbly that i was afraid to walk w/Makayla on them.
 Happy boys
 Football.
Rob's playing on an intramural FLAG football team again this year.  This is the first year he has gotten hurt.  He needed 7 stitches.  The other guy blacked out & got a concussion & still has memory problems.
The next day the blood pooled.

Alot.  Black eye time.  This is the worst that it looked though.
Guess  he should have stayed for the end of the RS super saturday financial classes ;) (we taught the first one together, then he left to play in his game)  Luckily its back to looking normal & he's just as handsome as ever :)

Random pictures including family olympics, first day of school & yummy food

We had to keep with tradition from 4 years ago and do family olympics when the summer olympics came around in August.  Sports included softball throw, somersaults, bocci ball, foot race, ball bounce, long race (around the block!), basket ball & bunny hop.  Christopher was our most decorated olympian, but everyone won something.  (I made gold medals & Christopher insisted on making silver & bronze medals).  Michael loved us humming the olympic song while putting medals on the winners.
 First day of second grade!
We had this awesome double rainbow.  Too bad our camera didn't do it justice

Michael wanted to take some pictures of me and Makayla. (this was a couple months ago)

A picture he took of the blanket Rob's Mom made.  He also took a picture of my arm, but I decided not to include it :)
 and these 2.
 (makayla looks ready for winter!)
Chrisotpher took these 2 pictures.  (we have a whole folder of pictures christopher. he's been using our old camera.  one of these days I should post my favorites)

out of order...michael took this one too...
Food!  (don't I have a separate blog for this?!) We made veggie pizzas again.  Left is christopher's , right is Michael's
 mine and robs
Ever since rob made gourmet quesadillas for my bday dinner, we've had them anytime avacados are on sale.  tomatoes, cheese, chicken, avacado + ranch for rob = yummy!  The kids like plain cheese, dipped in salsa.
Oh man.  This was amazing!  I meant to take an after picture...but didn't get around to it.  The filling is kind of a sloppy joe mixture: cooked groundbeef, bbq sauce, corn, tomatoes, onion.  Then fold the crust over it & spread melted butter, then sprinkle w/parmesan cheese, parsley & garlic powder.  top w/cheese (at the end...I pulled this cheese off when I remembered it was for the last 5 mins)  SO GOOD!  I think we are having this for dinner tonight w/squash.
We had leftover hamburgers & buns, so I made some fries and made our burgers gourmet by making them guacamole burgers.  YUM!

Family Pictures!!!

My cousin took pictures for us when we had my whole family in town!  Rob wants to hang the first picture up on our wall.
I think this picture is hilarious!

I just love the faces the kids make.

He wants to hang this first one of the kids too.
Love the facial expressions!  As my sister Cambrai said, "It looks like the boys are saying 'you mess w/my sister, you're going to have to mess with us first!'"

 Seriously, Michael's expressions are priceless.
 Case-in-point.
Grandma & Grandpa with all the grandkids.  3 boys followed by 3 girls.
Siblings!  No, we didn't plan the khaki/jeans thing.
Where's the picture of Taylor holding all of us?

We are all so grown up now!

The whole group, with my Grandma & Grandpa Call, also going on the wall.
Cute cousins age 3 weeks, 2 months, 3 months.
"I'm the oldest!"
